Join us in celebrating the 5th UN Global Road Safety Week on "Leadership for Road Safety"! The Week, to be held 6-12 May 2019 aims to provide an opportunity for civil society to generate demands for strong leadership for road safety, especially around concrete, evidence-based interventions; and inspire decision-makers to act by showcasing examples of strong leadership for road safety within various types of institutions.
In preparation of the Week, we are pleased to announce that the campaign web site has been launched: https://www.unroadsafetyweek.org/en/home
. The web site features a toolkit for organizers of events, signboards and sample petitions and pledges. We hope that you will visit the web site often, link to it from your web sites, and follow the guidance given to join the campaign and #SpeakUp for #RoadSafety!
Prior to the Week, we invite you to:
During the Week, we hope that you will host additional activities in your country, institution or community to draw attention to the need for more effective leadership for road safety.
The 5th UN Global Road Safety Week is the most high-profile road safety event on the global calendar before we convene for the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety to be held in Sweden in February 2020. Let's work together to make the Week a great success!
